So I grew up thinking I was some kind of freak until the day I heard the word ‘lesbian’ and I looked it up in a dictionary and spent the next hour crying because there were, apparently, more people like me.If I had grown up with a movie or a book aimed to children that showed to me that it was a normal thing, it would have saved me and many children the suffering of growing up thinking you are sick, or weird or wrong.So if you want your children not to be confused, talk to them, because that is your job as a mother, the same is Disney’s job as a worldwide company to try to appeal to all kinds of children.
